Hydro Jetting
What is Hydro Jetting?
Hydro Jetting is a technique that uses a high pressure burst of water to clean out slow-moving drains and clogged sewage lines.
There isn’t a clog that can withstand the force of that powerful blast of water. It completely opens the line, clearing all the debris and buildup, and scouring the inside of the pipe clean.
Roto-Rooter’s hydro jetting service is the most effective solution for unclogging and cleaning commercial, industrial, and municipal sewers and drainpipes containing grease, sludge, sediment, or mud. Conventional mechanical drain cleaning machines can only poke holes through these thick, viscous clogs, temporarily restoring drainage but unable to completely scrub the pipe clean the way hydro jetting can.
Hydro jetting is environmentally safe, economical, and efficient because it propels ordinary water at high pressure through sewers and drainpipes ranging from 1.5 inches to 9 inches in diameter. Hydro jetting can also be used to clean and clear large diameter culvert pipes of all lengths.

Kyle and his partner, Melissa, a native of Ithaca, purchased the Roto-Rooter franchise in October 2021, just one month before the birth of their son. Together the couple has two children (4 and 2), and they live locally in Tompkins County. Since franchise ownership, they have worked to spread the word about their small, family-run business via sponsorships of family-friendly events in and around the Ithaca area. Roto-Rooter strives to be community-focused, while bringing quality and reliable plumbing and drain cleaning services to both Tompkins and Cortland counties.
